Are you looking for a quick and easy snack or something to put out for last-minute company? Hummus is a perfect solution. And, if you are like me, garbanzo beans and tahini are staples in your kitchen.
Hummus is one of the most versatile snacks. You can start with a basic recipe (like below) and change it up with an endless selection of flavors—herbs, roasted peppers, roasted garlic, cracked pepper, or drizzle it with olive oil, just to name a few.
In addition to these options, there are pairing options. You can serve it with so many things, like toasted pita, bruschetta, and vegetables.
Jazz It Up
Not only can you switch up the flavor of hummus, you can also turn a simple snack into a more sophisticated small plate.
This one is a plain hummus served with two toasted pitta wedges and a drizzle of Thai red curry oil—Thai Red Curry Paste mixed with olive oil until it is a drizzle consistency.
Hummus is a blank canvas. Get creative!
